Description

This class is only supported for now in our own Firmware Cale-idf. Controller: SPD1656 This resolution works in the Waveshare 4.01 inches 7 colors epaper
Using our example cale-7-color.cpp in Cale-idf component is possible to print a colorful photo. The best output settings for color pictures for cale.es backend are:
Dithering active with 3x3 mode. Bits per pixel: 24. Note that dithering downgrades the 24 bpp to 4 only but that is ok since with 4 bits per pixel you have 16 colors that is more than the epaper can support. It's not an optimal color picture but is fun and good enough to use as a photo-frame.
